   Most modern hot tubs require a dedicated 240V circuit and a specific GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) disconnect—often called a "spa pack"—located at least 3 meters from the water. We handle:

   • Installation of the manual disconnect (Spa Pack).
   • Trenching and underground conduit (where required).
   • Final connections to the tub’s control board.
   • Testing and GFCI verification.

Pool & Hot Tub FAQs

• Does my hot tub need a dedicated panel?
  Yes. Hot tubs require a dedicated circuit.
• How far does the disconnect switch need to be?
  According to the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, the disconnect must be visible from the hot tub but located at least 3 meters (approx. 10 feet) away from the water's edge to prevent a person from touching the switch while in the water.
• Can you help with my pool’s "Bonding"?
  Absolutely. Bonding is the most critical safety step—it connects all metal parts (ladders, pump motors, etc.) to a common ground to ensure there is no voltage difference between them. This is a standard part of our pool installation service. We are well versed in the latest code changes and ensure a code compliant installation.
• What information do I need for a quote?
  Ideally, we need to know the distance from your main electrical panel to the hot tub/pool location and the "Nameplate" data (Amperage/Voltage requirements) found in your owner's manual. We typically will require a site visit before being able to provide a quote.
